This fun, class mixes the control and strength of Pilates with the posture and flexibility of Ballet to give you an amazing workout! Your legs and bottom will be sculpted and toned, your flexibility and posture will hugely improve and you will certainly burn through a few calories. We mix lunges and squats with plies and tendus, adding in hand weights to work the arms and shoulders. You don’t have to have ever danced before, all you need to do is come along, enjoy yourself and probably sweat! . As this is a daytime class, we do anticipate that some of you might want to take it a bit more gently and that’s fine by us.
Barre class can be a lot of work on your feet so it’s best to wear grip/dance socks or ballet pumps. This class is not suitable for anyone with plantar fasciitis or sciatica. Please adhere to COVID safety guidelines regarding the wearing of masks, social distancing and the use of hand sanitiser. Try to arrive no earlier than 5 minutes before the start of your session to allow for cleaning and sanitising of the studio. Try to keep personal possessions to a minimum and bring everything with you to your mat except for your shoes and coat. Thank you.
